Beyonce X Coachella

Weekend 1 of Coachella took place this weekend, and everyone was waiting with bated breath to see what Beyonce was going to do. Well, she killed it! I didn’t watch the live stream or any clips because I never watch footage of Beyonce’s shows before I see her live (I like to be surprised). I will be at Coachella Weekend 2, and I cannot wait to see this living legend do her thing on Saturday!

On Saturday I got off of work early and decided to go to dinner with my friend. We went to Atlantic Station, and I was in the mood for Italian (as always), so we ended up at Allora. We were able to walk right in and be seated. I immediately fell in love with the dim lights, candles, and big, cozy booths. We started with a bottle of Acqua Panna. I ordered the short rib pappardelle, and my friend got the egg rigatoni. Both dishes were amazing. We finished with two glasses of prosecco.

Allora is a super cute place for either a girl’s night out or for a date night. It’s not super expensive, and the ambiance is amazing. I would definitely recommend it.

A Night Off…

I got off early this past Friday, and it felt amazing! My friend D’Mani invited us out to the premiere of her video in East Atlanta Village. We pre-gamed at Alden’s house and then Ubered to EAV. I wore my trademark all black with black single-sole heels. We ran into a couple of our Twitter followers, smoked hookah at the bar across the street with terrible customer service, and then ended our night at Pho 24!

The video was amazing. I loved the concept, and the girls did amazing (D’Mani was the star, naturally…). I really enjoyed the song, and I want to look into more of his music.

I saw this meme on Eva Marcille’s Instagram and it immediately spoke to me. When I reflect on the person I was, the things I’ve experienced, and the things that I enjoyed last year, I am shocked. For example, now I love sushi (I hated it last year), I’ve been to several countries this year (I had only been to three prior to this year), and I am making sure that I push myself out of my comfort zone daily.

It’s interesting to look back at your life and realize that you’re growing as a person. At times, it can be a little uncomfortable but it’s definitely appreciated. I’m getting better every minute of every day, and I look forward to any future changes that are coming my way.

Aaliyah X MAC

MAC Cosmetics has finally given their Aaliyah collection a release date. On June 20th, the collection will be available online. On June 21st, the collection will be available in stores. MAC hasn’t provided a lot of information about the collection outside of teasing an eyeshadow palette and a nude lipstick.

Wine packaging and a silver Aaliyah signature stay true to Aaliyah’s style while also giving fans something they may not have been able to get from the singer, an autograph.

I look forward to seeing what else will be in the Aaliyah collection from MAC, and I will definitely be buying that lipstick. Are you excited about MAC’s new collection?
